BOB BOYLE

FOUNDER / MANAGING DIRECTOR

  • Bob founded Y ZERO Building Resilience in 2023 and serves as Managing Director. He brings deep enterprise supply chain expertise and over 30 years of executive leadership experience across a wide range of program management initiatives, business development roles and multi-stakeholder communications campaigns.

    Bob’s technical expertise centers on supply chain risk management and cost control for building infrastructure, utilities, network engineering platforms and technology integration programs. He specializes in the development and support of lean cross-functional teams, procurement systems, processes, tools, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier performance strategies for five-nines reliable, mission-critical infrastructure.

    Bob is actively engaged in his community as a serial cofounder, impact investor and supporter of youth sports and education-focused events, programs and initiatives. As a lifelong multi-sport athlete and coach, Bob credits his ongoing participation in team sports for his drive to always be collaborating and adapting, where change is the only constant.

    Outside work and community projects, Bob enjoys outdoor excursions and road trips with family and friends, ideally as some combination of his favorite pursuits: SOCCER, BIKES and MUSIC.

DARREN SPREEUW

CFO / CHIEF ECONOMIST

  • Darren Spreeuw brings over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, portfolio management, entrepreneurial leadership, and a PhD in Economics to the Y ZERO team. His extensive financial background includes real estate development, investment portfolio management, econometric analysis , and applied business microeconomics. Darren offers quantitative and qualitative insight in support of Y ZERO’s mission to improve cost control and supply chain reliability for its clients and partners.

    Darren has demonstrated success across a range of executive and operational leadership roles, from Managing Partner to CFO, COO, CCO, and real estate entrepreneur. Darren’s experience in building high-performing teams, sound financial strategies, and complex tactical applications, brings a level of rigor and expertise to Y ZERO.

    In addition to his enterprise services and academic work, Darren actively manages a diversified regional real estate portfolio within Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds. His expertise in asset acquisition, property redevelopment, strategic sourcing, and tax-efficient strategies showcases his ability to apply creative financial and operational solutions in diverse contexts. Darren's real estate proficiency extends to complex financial analysis, energy sector insights, and modeling—skills essential for navigating today's rapidly evolving markets and value chains.

    Beyond his professional achievements, Darren is deeply committed to leadership development, serving as Chair of the Colorado Student Leaders Institute since 2013. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys cycling, back-country skiing, beer-league hockey, and exploring the Colorado Rockies with his wife and two kids.
